Death To Life Notice

Heartland Family:

Please keep Pastor Carl Winkles (Marked Tree, AR), and his wife & family in your prayers. Following a long illness, their daughter, Patricia Whitset went to be with the Lord this morning. She was a great young lady. She supported her parents in their church work in many ways. I will send memorial details as soon as they come in.

Heartland Camp Staff Video

We have pressed our way through to getting this video ready for all of our youth camp staff. We had some extreme difficulties in producing the webcast last Saturday, and even the videos we did for a backup. I do regret those failures! However, Youth Camp is so important to us - I cannot give up on reaching out to our great folks, young and old, across the region that love the camping ministry.

I have a link below that will take you directly to our Camp Ministries Channel on the Heartland Internet Campus. Our staff can view the video - AND - there is an Adobe Link on the viewing page that will allow anyone to view or download the manual.

It's going to be a great camping season in the Heartland! Thank you Camp Directors and Staff! Thank you Pastors and Church family for supporting this powerful ministry!

2013 Heartland America Regional Convention Info!

Hello Church Family!

I just wanted to send out a quick note to give you some initial information about reserving rooms for our Regional Convention scheduled for July 25-27. I will be sending a full mailing out to our pastors and churches next week, but I thought you might want to get a "head-start" on securing a room at the University Plaza Hotel.

They are giving us a rate of $89 per night (plus taxes) for: King, or 2 double beds. They have King Suites for $119 per night.

Call:  417-864-7333
Identify yourself as being a part of: "The Church of God of Prophecy Group."

Pastors: Remember our Pastor Appreciation Dinner (THURSDAY EVENING, July 25)

I will be placing this information on our Website and on our Heartland America Facebook Page, as well as my personal Blog.

PLEASE --- GET YOUR RESERVATIONS SOON! If we get a good response early, they may be willing to open more rooms for us.

It's a wonderful convention site! I am expecting to see you there!

Heartland Youth Camp Staff Training Event

Our Camp Staff Training is here! Tomorrow morning the Camp Directors will be participating in a live webcast that will be going to all of our four states. Then on Saturday afternoon we are inviting all of those wishing to work in one of our camps around the region to join us for an intensive training session. The Staff Training Session begins at 1 PM.  We will be introducing our new Regional Camp Manual.

NOTE: The Camp Staff Manual can be viewed directly from our Regional Website.

www.heartlandcogop.org

As soon as the website opens, you will see links that will give you vital information about the Training session. It has a link that will take you to the Camp Manual where you can read, or even download the manual. It has a link that will allow you to download the Camp Covenant. That is a promise made by every Camp Staff Member before they serve in camp. And then there is a link that will take you to the Heartland Camp Ministry Channel on our Internet Campus. IT’S ALL RIGHT THERE!

We are looking forward to an awesome day with our Camp Directors and Staff from all over the region. What a great cause! Here’s just a snippet from the new camp manual;

“Campers will participate in a range of enjoyable summer adventures designed to foster social interaction, facilitate personal growth, develop educational and recreational skills, and the discovery of the plan and purpose God has for their lives. We want to provide a fun, life-building experience. Realizing that some campers have never seen the true love of Christ displayed, we want our plans, programs, and personal witnesses to represent Christ well. The end goal is that we fulfill the Great Commission by “making disciples,” and teaching the “all things” of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that includes love, grace, forgiveness, and purpose for living.”

Join us. Say a prayer for us! Our Camping Ministry is worth it!
