God asked Moses, "What is in your hand?" Moses: "It's only a rod." The following conversation resulted in God communicating the truth that He, the Lord, will take what we have and use it to accomplish His will. Do not discount any gift God has given you. I am very concerned about the tendency of our aging ministry to remain tight-fisted with "what they know," which fosters a resistance and reluctance to the use the tools of communication, which, by the way, include an unlimited resource for knowledge, and are at our very fingertips to magnify and promote the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm not being hard. I am searching hard. I long for better and more efficient ways to spread the Gospel.
Why should we turn over technology exclusively to the powers of darkness, and resist the need to learn something new, when we have the greatest cause, the most powerful truth, and the message that addresses every need of humanity - "For God so loved..." I refuse to relent, or use an aging body and mind as an excuse to leave it to the next generation to learn how to use technology for the purpose of giving glory and honor to the Great King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We should be leading the next generation in demonstrating how you adapt, and USE every tool available to tell the world about Jesus. Come on Pastor: "Let's Do this!"
