New Church Plant In The Heartland

Tonight I was privileged to officiate in the organization of our newest church in The Heartland America Region. Rev. Jose Bravo was appointed as pastor. This group has been meeting at the Olathe Church for the past several years, and has operated as a Mission Church, under Brother Bravo for the past year. Pastor John Newson and the Olathe Church are to be commended for their care and nurture of this great group of people. The Olathe (Hispanic) Church of God of Prophecy now serves as a beacon of hope reaching out to the Hispanic community in Olathe and surrounding communities. Thank you Lord for dedicated and trustworthy servants.

Pastor's Wife Home-Going Celebration

I spent most of the day with a wonderful family. I was privileged to participate in the home-going celebration for Elvira Wagner. Elvira was Pastor Leonard Wagner's wife. The Wagners have served as Pastors of our Emporia, Kansas, church for over 40 years.
The chapel was filled to capacity and more. The overflow room was completely packed also. Pastor Wagner participated in the service and shared heartwarming memories. The Wagner's two sons and two daughters, their families, including 8 grandchildren were present honor their precious mother and grandmother. Surely, Heaven gets sweeter as more and more of our loved ones go there.
Pastor Wagner will be facing a tremendous change in his life as he adjusts to a life without Elvira. I am confident that his family will stay close to him as they are a very caring and loving people. I know your prayers would be appreciated.

Sister Elvira Wagner, Pastor Leonard Wagner's (Emporia, KS) wife went to be with the Lord yesterday (March 5). Pastor Wagner is doing well, but he certainly needs our prayer support. I just spoke to Pastor Wagner, and he gave me the following information about the Memorial Services:

District 9 & 10 S.H.A.R.E. Meeting

6 days and counting down to our next S.H.A.R.E Meeting! I am looking forward to being with our great pastors and leaders form Districts 9 & 10. We have invited our pastors  & leaders from District 9 to come on "up" to Olathe next Saturday and join us for a great day of ministry, and fellowship. (I think there's going to be food involved, too!) Pastor Larry Duncan will be presenting on Saturday morning, and I will be sharing in the afternoon. I really do believe we are going to have a wonderful time! Hoe to see you there. It all stats at 9:30 AM.
